The gorgeous Natasha Negovanlis is an award winning actress, writer, and producer, best known for having played the titular role in the hit webseries and feature film spin-off Carmilla. She has performed live in improv, sketch, musical, and cabaret shows around North America, and was a host and presenter on the YouTube network KindaTV. She has also earned a dedicated global fanbase on social media, where she is admired for her candid posts about mental health awareness, intersectional feminism, and positive LGBT representation.
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Negovanlis initially attended McGill University in Quebec to become a classically trained soprano, before going on to study musical theatre and film at the Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts in Toronto. She then set out to pursue a career in acting, and after making a short film in 2014 she landed the lead role as the broody lesbian vampire Carmilla in the webseries of the same name. After winning the Fan’s Choice Award at the 5th Canadian Screen Awards, with over two million votes, for her work on Carmilla, she has gone on to feature and star in numerous web, TV and film productions, such as Slasher, Almost Adults, The Carmilla Movie, Murdoch Mysteries, Darken, and Band Ladies. She also co-wrote and co-produced the 2018 NYC Web Fest Award winning comedy CLAIREvoyant.
