Natasha Negovanlis

Natasha Negovanlis is a Canadian Screen Award-winning actress, writer, and producer, recognized for her portrayal of Carmilla Karnstein in the digital series “Carmilla” (2014–2016). Born in Toronto, Canada, she studied musical theatre and film at Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts and Voice Performance at The Schulich School of Music at McGill University. This classical training provided a foundation for her diverse career in acting and entertainment. Her role as the titular broody lesbian vampire in “Carmilla” gained her international attention and a dedicated global following on social media.

Following her success in “Carmilla,” Negovanlis expanded her acting credits with guest appearances in television series such as “Slasher” (2016) and “Murdoch Mysteries” (2017). In 2018, she made her American big-screen debut in a leading role in the film “Freelancers Anonymous,” which was recognized with the ReFrame Stamp by IMDb Pro and the Sundance Institute for gender equality. Additionally, she co-created, co-wrote, and co-produced the NYC Web Fest award-winning comedy series “ClaireVoyant” (2018) alongside Annie Briggs, demonstrating her capabilities behind the camera. She also earned a “Best Ensemble Performance” award at the Toronto Web Fest in 2018 for “Haunters: The Musical” and a “Best Dynamic Duo” award at the NYC Web Fest in 2018 for “ClaireVoyant” with Annie M.
