Herrol Dacres, known professionally as Donchez Dacres, is an English-Jamaican singer and songwriter. Originally from Nottingham, he spent a significant portion of his childhood in Jamaica before settling in Wolverhampton. Dacres’ musical style is predominantly influenced by reggae, dancehall, and soca, often incorporating a commercial edge into his compositions. Before gaining wider recognition for his musical talents, Dacres worked as an AA roadside assistance operative. This background provided a grounded perspective as he pursued his passion for music.

Dacres achieved significant public recognition in 2018 when he participated in Britain’s Got Talent. During his appearance on the show, he performed his original song and dance routine, ‘Wiggle Wine.’ This performance earned him a Golden Buzzer from judge David Walliams, advancing him directly to the live semi-finals. Dacres ultimately reached the final round of the competition, securing a third-place finish.
