Donchez Dacres is a widely recognised singer-songwriter who was born in Nottingham and raised in Jamaica. Dacres has always been inspired by music and has been passionate about making a successful career in music. Dacres is best known from his audition on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, when he performed on Series 12 and impressed the judges with his own original song titled ‘Wiggle Wine’.
Dacres shone so much so in his audition that he blew away the judges and became the most successful Golden Buzzer act from judge David Walliams. Before Dacres’ initial audition, he said that “I’m 60 years old and I’m here to do my thing”. He is passionate about sharing his songs with the world. He had the judges up on their feet dancing and was hailed as “a ray of golden sunshine”.
In Dacres’ final performance, he judge Alesha described his song ‘Wiggle Wine’ as ‘the anthem of Britain’s Got Talent 2018’. Dacres finished in third place, close behind comedians Robert White and Lost Voice Guy. Post ‘Britain’s Got Talen’, Dacres has performed in a number of stage productions and officially released ‘Wiggle Wine’ as a single.
