Australian singer-songwriter Nathan Foley rose to fame as an original member of Hi-5, the hugely popular Australian children’s musical group. Since leaving the show he has enjoyed a successful career as a recording artist, on stage in productions including Jerry Springer: The Opera and on television in shows including The Voice and I Will Survive.
Hailing from New South Wales, Australia, Foley began his singing career early at the age of 10, and soon began performing Pop, Rock, Soul, Jazz and R&B at clubs in Sydney.
He performed as a soloist for seven years in the Coca-Cola Schools Spectacular where he learnt how to perform with orchestras and big bands, and in 1997 he graduated from the Talent Development Project.
Foley got his big break in 1998 when he won an audition for Hi-5, becoming an original member of the internationally famous children’s group. Foley spent a decade with the group, scoring four top 10 albums and appearing regularly on television and stage shows around the world. After announcing his departure from the group he launched a successful stage career, playing Kenickie in Grease on the Beach and appearing in hit musical Jerry Springer: The Opera at the Sydney Opera House. He also toured Australia in Mamma Mia! in 2010 and co-presented a show for Foxtel’s Indigenous Network NITV called Gathering. Foley dropped his new single ‘She Devil’ – a cheeky rock-driven dance anthem – in June 2020.
