Actress, choreographer and award-winning salsa dancer Emily Alabi has eight Salsa championships under her belt as well numerous television credits. As an actress, she has enjoyed recurring and leading guest star roles on the likes of Magnum PI, Marvel’s Runaways, The Rookie, NCIS, Joe Pickett and Teen Wolf. Widely recognised as one of the world’s best Salsa dancers, Alabi gained international exposure on Season 3 of America’s Got Talent dancing with her brother Junior Alabi as part of the dynamic duo Junior and Emily. Since then the Alabi siblings have worked on So You Think You Can Dance, Disney’s Austin and Ally, Dancing with the Stars, Jane the Virgin and at the Oscars, and have collaborated with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Jon Favreau, Sofia Vergara, Selena Gomez and Marc Anthony. Alabi is an accomplished choreographer who recently worked for Netflix on Selena: The Series.
Born and raised in San Francisco, California, Alabi got her first big break in 2007 working on Nickelodeon show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. She then began to land numerous guest spots in several TV shows whilst also competing as a professional dancer with her brother Junior, and the dancing duo rose to prominence after creating their own original dancing style called ‘Electro Salsa’.
With an unstoppable passion for her art, Alabi has dedicated her life to motivating and inspiring those around her, partnering with several non-profit organizations to help those following in her footsteps.
