Eliud Kipchoge has solidified his status as one of the greatest marathon runners in history, consistently delivering record-breaking performances and inspiring audiences worldwide. After winning the junior race at the 2003 World Cross Country Championships, Eliud Kipchoge claimed a commanding 5000m gold medal at the 2003 World Championships in Paris. His early track career saw him secure an Olympic 5000m bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Games and an Olympic 5000m silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Games. Kipchoge transitioned to road running in 2012, making his half marathon debut at the Lille Half Marathon with an impressive 59:25.
His full marathon debut in April 2013 resulted in victory at the Hamburg Marathon, setting a new course record of 2:05:30. He secured his first World Marathon Major victory at the Chicago Marathon in 2014, followed by multiple wins including the London Marathon (2015, 2016 with 2:03:05) and Berlin Marathon (2015). These successes culminated in his first Olympic Marathon gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games. In 2017, Kipchoge won the Berlin Marathon with 2:03:32 and completed the Nike Breaking2 project in 2:00:25.

On October 12, 2019, Kipchoge made history as the first person to complete a marathon in under two hours, achieving 1:59:40.2 at the Ineos 1:59 Challenge in Vienna.
