Appearing as Sayid Jarrah in the 2004 hitseries Lost, Naveen Andrews won the hearts of viewers across the world whilereceiving critical acclaim with Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations forBest Supporting Actor.
Classmate to Ewan McGregor and DavidThewlis at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Naveen Andrewsembarked on his career as a screen actor after landing a role in HanifKureishi’s 1991 movie London Kills Me. This would act as a stepping stone for Andrews,paving the way for leading roles across the British film and televisionindustry, including UK comedy Wild West and TV mini-series The Buddha ofSuburbia.
Andrews established his presence as anactor with the role of Kip in the 1996 drama The English Patient, along RalphFiennes and Willem Dafoe. Winning over nine Oscars and fifty other awards, itwas the motion picture that would shoot Andrews to stardom. Andrews has since actedalongside stars such as Jodie Foster in The Brave One, Rose McGowan in PlanetTerror, Naomi Watts in Diana and Stephen Lang in Reckless.
More recently, Andrews can be seen in Netflix’ssci-fi series Sense 8 and 2018 crime-drama Instinct. Andrews has also worked asa voice actor, portraying the Far Cry character Sabal and earning a BTVA VideoGame Voice Acting Award nomination for his performance.
