Varbanova was fortunate enough to grow up in a Bulgarian household where her mother prepared daily meals using simple, wholesome ingredients. This upbringing helped to form her belief that the keys to true health lie in healthy eating, fitness, and a positive outlook. When she moved to the United States as a teenager, she would have been forgiven for diving headlong into a world of fast food, Lucy Charms, and Coca Cola, but she found herself shocked at the state of the nation’s diet, the quality of its food, and its rapidly rising rates of obesity and type-2 diabetes. Before long, she’d set up her high school’s first-ever health club and was already planning a career in health and nutrition.
In 2015, Varbanova, by now in her mid-twenties and a qualified nutritionist and health coach, launched her blog, Healthy with Nedi, which has since evolved into an entire lifestyle brand, providing everything from simple-to-follow recipes to detox ebooks. The aim of her game is to help people make sustainable lifestyle changes leading to healthy and sustainable weight loss, which in turn can lead to a more positive outlook on life, and therefore, true health.
