Nedarb Nagrom is a musician and producer currently best known for his work with post-hardcore/metalcore/screamo supergroup, If I Die First, whose line-up also features members of Ghostmane and rappers Lil Lotus and Lil Zubin. Their debut EP, My Poison Arms, was released in 2020 and was followed by a split EP with SeeYouSpaceCowboy entitled A Sure Disaster. The group have already been credited with helping to revive screamo, an offshoot of the more mainstream emo scene that influenced a whole disaffected generation during the mid-late 2000s.
Nedarb Nagrom (his real name, Braden Morgan, spelt backwards), is one of the driving forces behind If I Die First, writing a lot of the initial ideas and recording all of his parts in isolation from the rest of the band as they recorded their first EP during the initial onslaught of the pandemic. He also gave the band its distinctive name, which is taken from an EP released by a rapper friend of his, Chynna, who sadly passed away in 2020. The music that the band make is the kind that he says has been “burning in his soul” for years, an apt description for music that is so intense.
Away from making music, Nagrom is also highly active on social media, with over 90,000 Instagram followers for both his personal account and his photography account, Neddypix. With If I Die First now able to tour America, he’ll be winning over a lot more fans before long.
