New Hope Club, also known as NHC, is a British band
consisting of members Blake Richardson, George Smith, and Reece Bibby.
Nominated as Next Big Thing at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards, their moody pop-rock
sound has quickly endeared them to fans, with their debut EP, Welcome to the
Club, spending ten weeks on Billboard charts and peaking at No 5 in late 2017. Singles
like ‘Good Day’ and ‘Tiger Feet’ were featured on the soundtrack for the
award-winning, 2018 animated film Early Man, while the hugely popular tracks ‘Crazy’
and ‘Medicine’ were used to promote their second album, Welcome to the Club Pt.2,
released in October 2018.
Formerly a member of the X-Factor band Stereo Kicks,
Reece joined members Blake and George in 2015 after his former group disbanded,
and they soon gained attention for their cover of The Vamps’ ‘Wake Up’, a
release that led to the band being signed by Vamps’ Steady Records. The band has
since played sold-out shows at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, headlined in Manila,
Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangkok, and opened for The Vamps, Tini Stoessel,
and Sabrina Carpenter.
New Hope Club recently released a new single, ‘Permission’,
and has both new music and further shows planned for 2019.
