Carter Faith Jones, born on June 14, 2000, in Davidson, North Carolina, developed an early passion for music, teaching herself piano and guitar at a young age. Her foundational interest in country music was sparked by her grandfather’s cassette tapes. At 16, she began songwriting, and her talent led her to Grammy Camp in Nashville, where she performed at the Bluebird Café. In June 2018, she graduated from Cannon School, and in the fall of the same year, she enrolled in a songwriting program at Belmont University.
Faith’s career progression accelerated in 2019 when she signed with Pound It Out Loud Entertainment. Her debut single, “Leaving Tennessee,” was released in July 2020, followed by “Sinners in a Small Town” and “Easy Pill” later that year. In October 2020, she secured an artist development deal with Altadena, a record company founded by busbee. The year 2021 was significant for Faith, marked by the release of “The Dusk Session” in April, her first performance at the Ryman Auditorium in July, and the release of her debut EP, “Let Love Be Love,” in August. She also served as the opening act for The Avett Brothers at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in September and successfully completed her studies, graduating from Belmont University in December 2021.
The trajectory of Carter Faith’s career continued its upward trend in 2022 with a music publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Nashville in March. She was also recognized as Billboard’s Country Rookie of the Month in March and made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry in June. In November 2022, she released her co-written single “Already Crazy.” Looking ahead, Faith’s debut album, “Cherry Valley,” is scheduled for release via MCA Nashville on October 3, 2025. Additionally, she has been cast in the upcoming Netflix thriller film “Heartland,” alongside Jessica Chastain and John Hawkes, signifying her expansion into acting. She continues to tour, opening for artists such as Ingrid Andress.
