Nicole Santamaría Pérez is an actress and businesswoman. She was born in New Jersey in the United States, but was raised in the Colombian capital of Bogotá. On the Colombian Network Canal 13, Santamaría hosted the game show Ring 13 and the music show La Tapa, before making her acting debut in the television series Play Fair. Santamaría also appeared on other Colombian networks, including RCN, where she featured on the series ‘La dama de Troya’, The Crowned Goddess and Search Block, co-starring alongside Rafael Novoa and Carolina Gomez, and the Caracol channel, where she had a supporting role in The Hypochondriac.
Santamaría was one of four protagonists in the Caracol series ‘La Promesa’, made by CMO Producciones. The show was shot in four countries, including Mexico and Colombia. She featured in the American series Covert Affairs on the USA Network and has appeared in films including ‘El paséu 3’, ‘Shakespeare – los espíes de Dios’ and Detective Marañón.
In 2012, Santamaría founded Búkuri vida y guapura, a retailer of skincare products. She is a protagonist on the show Surviving Escobar: Alias J.J (2017), a Caracol and Netflix production. The crime thriller TV series stars Juan Pablo Urrego as Pablo Escobar’s lieutenant and right hand, Jhon Jairo Velásquez, and is based on the book ‘Sobreviviendo a Pablo Escobar’, written by Velásquez himself. Santamaría keeps up with her fans on Instagram, where she boasts over 350,000 followers.
