Nikita Koloff

Nikita Koloff, known as “The Russian Nightmare,” transitioned from a formidable professional wrestler to a Christian minister and author, sharing his experiences and insights. After making a rapid and formidable impact in professional wrestling, Nikita Koloff, known as ‘The Russian Nightmare,’ achieved multiple championship reigns and became a revered figure in the industry. Debuting in professional wrestling in 1984, Koloff quickly established himself in Jim Crockett Promotions, where he was billed from Russia and formed a formidable alliance with ‘uncle’ Ivan Koloff. His prowess led to significant early championship success, including the NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship in December 1984.

His enduring legacy in professional wrestling has been recognized with the Frank Gotch Award from the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame on July 15, 2006, and his induction into the National Wrestling Alliance Hall of Fame in 2008. Most recently, Koloff made an appearance at AEW Revolution for Sting’s retirement match on March 3, 2024.
