He further confirmed this partnership with another new contract in August 2021 as the first bout of the new four-fight deal was against Alex Oliveira.

Nicholas Gordon “Niko” Price was born on September 29, 1989, in Cape Coral, Florida. His journey in combat sports began with kickboxing after graduating from Mariner High School, where he played linebacker. He won his first two kickboxing bouts via knockout, which laid the foundation for his transition into mixed martial arts. Price began training in MMA in 2008 and compiled an undefeated amateur record of 9-0 before making his professional debut in February 2012. He quickly made a name for himself in regional circuits, securing eight consecutive wins, seven of which came by stoppage, and capturing the Fight Time Welterweight Championship.
Price joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in December 2016, making his debut at UFC 207 against Brandon Thatch, where he secured a first-round submission victory. His UFC career has been marked by a series of aggressive and often highlight-reel finishes, earning him multiple Performance of the Night bonuses. Notable victories include a TKO win over Alan Jouban in 2017, a unique hammerfist knockout from his back against Randy Brown in 2018, and a first-round KO of James Vick with an upkick in 2019. These performances showcased his unconventional techniques and ability to capitalize on unexpected opportunities.
Throughout his career, Price has faced some of the welterweight division’s most respected fighters, including Vicente Luque and Robbie Lawler. Outside of the octagon, Price is based in Cape Coral, Florida, training with Fight Me Combat Sports, and is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
