Nina Senicar

Born in Novi Sad, Serbia, on November 11, 1985, Nina Senicar began her acting journey at the age of 14 in her high school drama club. Demonstrating early versatility, she earned the title of National Champion in show jumping in 2001 and was invited to join the national team. At 18, Senicar received a full scholarship to Bocconi University in Milan, where she obtained a Master of Science degree in International Economics and Management in Arts, Culture, Media, and Entertainment. During her studies, she launched her career as a model and television host, becoming a recognized face on Italian television and appearing in various advertising campaigns.

Senicar’s career advanced from European television to cinema, earning her the Best New Actress award at the Milan Film Festival in 2011. Following her European success, she moved to New York to further her acting career, studying with mentor Susan Batson. Her ability to speak multiple languages allowed her to work in both European and American markets, leading to lead roles in three films in three different countries and languages in 2014 alone. In 2017, she received the Best Actress award at The International Festival of Lenola for her role in the short film “La Gamba.” Recent milestones include joining the cast of “Papillon” alongside Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek, and “Arctic Justice” with Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin, and Anjelica Huston.

Beyond her film and television work, Senicar is actively involved with humanitarian organizations such as AmfAR, International Medical Corps, and Pangea, supporting women who have experienced violence. She has continued to expand her acting portfolio with roles in “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (2017–2020), “Popadija” (2022–2024), and “Deadline” (2022). She has two children with her husband, actor Jay Ellis, whom she married in Italy in 2022. Her career continues to showcase a blend of modeling, acting, and social advocacy.
