Karlie “Keisha” Redd, born Karlie Lewis, was born in New York City on April 15. She spent her early childhood years between Trinidad and New York, eventually returning to New York permanently at the age of 12. For her education, Redd attended The Harlem School of the Arts and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, indicating an early interest in performing arts. She is also a college graduate. Her career began in 2001 with a role in the film “Black Spring Break 2,” where she was credited as Keisha “Karlie” Lewis. She continued to pursue acting and appeared in the VH1 reality series “Scream Queens” in 2010.
In 2012, Karlie Redd gained significant public recognition as an original main cast member of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” a role she has maintained for multiple seasons.
