Kayla Skrlik is a talented Canadian curler from Calgary in Alberta who currently skips her own team based in her home province. Over a successful career she has made quite the impression by winning multiple high-level events in the World Curling Tour including the 2019 Medicine Hat Charity Classic and the Good Times Bonspiel in the same year. She also competed in the 2020 Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
Skrlik emerged on the junior scene in a big way after confidently skipping Team Alberta at the 2016 U18 International Curling Championships, in which she qualified for the championship round. She has also played in the 2018 Humpty’s Champions Cup and represented her nation at the 2019 Changan Ford International Curling Elite event.
Known for her effortless poise and natural leadership qualities, Skrlik has skipped her own team since the very beginning of her career, something she takes great pride in. She maintains strong aspirations of representing Canada at the highest possible levels of the sport, with a particularly keen focus on the upcoming Winter Olympic games. Skrlik is most certainly one to watch over the coming years, as she continues to work on her skillset and look for every opportunity she can to up her game.
