Nina Wadia OBE is an award-winning actress widely recognized for her roles in the sketch comedy series “Goodness Gracious Me” and the long-running soap opera “EastEnders.” She has also appeared in numerous films and television dramas, showcasing her versatility across various genres. After gaining significant public recognition for her work on the BBC sketch show ‘Goodness Gracious Me,’ which aired from 1998 to 2000 and again for a special in 2014-2015, award-winning actress Nina Wadia OBE went on to establish a versatile career across television, film, and theatre. Her television career first began with a notable role as Nurse Viv in three episodes of the BBC soap opera ‘EastEnders’ in 1994. Wadia showcased her versatility in film, appearing as a wedding caterer in the comedy ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ (2002) and a part in the Hindi romantic comedy ‘Namastey London’ (2007).
