Australian medal-winning slalom canoeist, Noemie Fox has competed professionally in the sport at an international level since 2013.
Coming from a family of professional slalom canoeists, it is no surprise that Fox is becoming a renowned sportsperson amongst her fellow athletes. Both her parents Richard Fox and Myriam Fox-Jerusalmi are former gold-winning slalom canoeists, as well as her aunt Rachel Crosbee and her sister Jessica Fox, with whom she regularly competes with around the world. Having participated in the sport since the age of 14, Fox first competed to an international level at the Junior World Championships in 2013. She then quickly went on to make her senior debut at the 2015 World Cup in Kracow, Poland. Since then, Fox who currently competes as part of the Penrith Valley and NSWIS canoeing clubs has gone on to enjoy success for several years competing in the U23 World Championships from 2016 – 2019, during which time she celebrated winning a bronze medal at the U23 Championships in Ivrea, Italy. Fox also took part in the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships during 2017 and 2019. Both proving to be extremely successful events, Fox who competed in the C1 team events was awarded a silver medal at the 2017 championships in Pau, France and gold at the 2019 championships in La Seu d’Urgell, Spain.
Having also gained a Bachelor degree at the University of Sydney in Media and Communications, Fox hopes to continue with her successful sporting career in the coming years.
