Nore Davies

Nore Davis was born on April 10, 1984, in New York City, New York. His journey in stand-up comedy began during his teenage years in Yonkers, New York, where he initially pursued it as a hobby, performing at open mic nights and on college campuses. Before committing to comedy full-time, Davis held various jobs, including working at a gas station and in graphic design, eventually deciding to focus on his passion for comedy as a career.

Davis has established a notable presence in television and comedy. Early in his career, he developed a friendship with Amy Schumer, appearing in a sketch during the pilot episode of her Comedy Central show, “Inside Amy Schumer.” His television credits include “Russell Simmons Presents,” “Last Week Tonight,” MTV’s “Nikki & Sara Live,” Disney’s “The Crossover,” and “NickMom Night Out.” He also had a minor speaking role in HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” in 2013, appearing in two episodes. Davis has also contributed to numerous videos for CollegeHumor and was featured in the TV series “The Big Gulp” in 2014. In 2016, he appeared in one episode of “Luke Cage” as Bystander 1 and in “Seriously.TV” as a writer. His acting roles continued with an appearance in “Kevin Can Wait” in 2017. He released his first comedy album, “Home Game,” on November 28, 2014. In 2018, he released his second comedy album, “Too Woke,” on Blonde Medicine, which was recorded at Union Hall in Brooklyn, New York. “Too Woke” was recognized by Vulture magazine as one of the Top Ten Best Comedy Albums of 2018.

His career progression includes acting roles in “The Deuce” (1 episode, 2019) and “Succession” (1 episode, 2019), where he played the comedian Zell Simmons in the “Argestes” episode. In 2020, Davis appeared as Kyle in “Go/Don’t Go” and as a character named Nore in the short “A Balcony in Brooklyn.” He also served as an associate producer for “Go/Don’t Go.” In 2021, he had a significant role as Solomon, appearing in six episodes of “Dickinson.” More recently, Davis has appeared in “Ziwe” (1 episode, 2022) as a Doctor and in “Puppy Love” (2023) as Sid. He has an upcoming role as Tony in two episodes of “Survival of the Thickest,” scheduled for release in 2025, and as Tanky in the “Untitled Shawtane Bowen and Jerah Milligan Project.”
