Nyein Thaw

Nyein Thaw, born Nyein Nyein Thaw on April 13, 1993, in Monywa, Myanmar, embarked on his career path in the entertainment industry as a model. He is the second of five siblings and pursued a Law major at Monywa University. His entry into modeling occurred in 2014 when he joined John Lwin’s model training program at Stars Int’l Models Agency. Through this agency, he received professional training in modeling and catwalk, subsequently participating in numerous commercial model shows and runway events. His early modeling successes included winning the male model contest Mr. ASNI in 2014, which opened doors for him into television commercials.

His visibility in commercials and consistent modeling work drew the attention of the film industry, leading to acting opportunities. In 2017, Nyein Thaw made his acting debut in the thriller film “Nya” (Night). This role significantly increased his public recognition and contributed to the film becoming one of Myanmar’s highest-grossing films that year. Following this success, he appeared in “The Family Diary,” a mini-web series produced by Samsung Myanmar in 2018. His career progression continued with main roles in television dramas such as “Yin Kwin Shin Tann” in 2018 and the thriller drama “Ah Saung” in late 2018, both of which aired in 2019. In 2020, he took on leading roles in the drama films “Hnin Pwint Say Yar” and “Oo Tu Mhar Tae Saung,” further cementing his presence in the industry.

Beyond his acting roles, Nyein Thaw has also engaged in brand ambassadorships, commencing a partnership with MGOU in 2019. His dedication to his craft is evident in his desire to explore diverse character types, as expressed in media interviews. His journey reflects a consistent effort to build a career across various facets of the entertainment world in Myanmar.
