Owen Benjamin

Owen Benjamin’s acting career took off with a supporting role in the 2008 comedy film The House Bunny, followed by a lead role in the 2009 romantic comedy All’s Faire in Love alongside Christina Ricci. Prior to his major film work, Benjamin cultivated his comedic talent through web-based video series, including Gaytown in 2008 and Heckle U. in 2009, which significantly contributed to his burgeoning online presence and comedic brand. From 2012 to 2014, Benjamin became a regular on the TBS sitcom Sullivan & Son, portraying the character Owen Walsh across 33 episodes.

His versatile television appearances further included MTV’s Punk’d and multiple stints as a correspondent on The Jay Leno Show. Benjamin also showcased his stand-up comedy at prestigious events such as the Aspen, Montreal, and Chicago Comedy Festivals. Demonstrating his range as a host, he led the ADG Excellence in Production Design Awards from 2014 to 2016 and hosted Esquire Network’s The Next Great Burger in 2015. In the late 2010s, Benjamin expanded his reach as the host of the podcast Why Didn’t They Laugh.

Despite this, Benjamin continued to explore his diverse talents, notably achieving recognition as a classical crossover piano billboard artist, demonstrating his musical prowess and creative resilience. Benjamin has continued to release new material, including his stand-up special Owen Benjamin: Noble Savage in 2023, which further showcased his unique comedic perspective. He followed this success with the release of Must Be Nice in 2024, continuing to engage his audience with fresh content and solidifying his ongoing presence in the comedy landscape.
