Paul Reiser

Paul Reiser is an acclaimed actor, writer, producer, and comedian known for his versatile career across film, television, and literature. After making his mark in the film industry with roles in Barry Levinson’s Diner (1982), Beverly Hills Cop (1984), James Cameron’s Aliens (1986), and Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), Paul Reiser achieved widespread acclaim as the co-creator and star of the NBC series Mad About You (1992–1999). For his work on the series, Reiser received multiple nominations, including Emmy, Golden Globe, American Comedy Award, and Screen Actors Guild nods for Best Actor. He also starred in the television series My Two Dads (1987–1990).

Beyond acting, Reiser’s book Couplehood became a New York Times best-seller, selling over two million copies, a success he followed with Babyhood and Familyhood (2011). Reiser continued to diversify his career, making his stage debut in Woody Allen’s Writer’s Block (2003). He showcased his writing and acting talents by writing and starring in the original screenplay The Thing About My Folks (2005), and co-wrote My 11:30 for NBC (2004). His versatility extended to music, co-writing and performing on the album Unusual Suspects with Julia Fordham (2010).

Additionally, he will star in and co-write The Problem with People, star in The Gutter, and voice Elliot Cooper in Long Story Short (2025). Reiser is set to reprise his role as The Legend in The Boys (2026) and is currently filming for The Altruists as Joe Bankman, further cementing his diverse and enduring career.
