Pauly Shore is an entertainer, actor and comedian who rose to fame when his MTV show Totally Pauly became a huge fan hit in 1990. The successful show ran for six years and lead to starring film roles for Shore in movies including In the Army Now, Son In Law, Encino Man, Jury Duty and A Goofy Movie.
Born Paul Montgomery Shore in Los Angeles, California, he made his debut as a stand-up at Culver City’s Alley Cat Bistro when he was 17 years old. In 1989 he got his big break as an on-air MTV VJ, presenting his own hugely popular show Totally Pauly and hosting MTV’s annual Spring Break parties. Shore also starred in and produced several of his own projects including comedy specials Vegas is My Oyster and Pauly-Tics and Pauly Shore is Dead. In 2004 he released a true-life documentary following his journey and personal life as he performed in remote towns throughout Wisconsin.
Shore’s popularity has continued in recent years, and in 2017 he released his Pauly Shore Podcast Show where he interviewed celebrities including Ziggy Marley, Fred Durst and Harland Williams. His popular video podcast Pauly Shore’s Random Rants is released weekly appearing on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and All Things Comedy. In 2020 he starred in the movie Guest House, and continues to entertain audiences around the US with his hilarious brand of stand-up comedy.
