Per Laursen is a talented Danish professional darts player who competes in both the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) tournaments. His journey in the sport took a significant turn in January 2014 when he earned a Tour card for the 2014 PDC Tour by topping the previous year’s Scandinavian Order of Merit. This achievement marked the beginning of his more extensive involvement in the competitive darts scene.
In his early PDC career, Laursen partnered with Dennis Lindskjold at the World Cup of Darts, where they faced a challenging first-round match against Australia, ultimately losing 5–2. Despite being eligible for all PDC events, Laursen primarily focused on Scandinavian tournaments that year. His determination paid off when he clinched victory in the first Danish event by defeating Daniel Larsson 6–2, further establishing his presence in the darts community.
Laursen continued to shine in 2015, winning two events on the Scandinavian Darts Corporation Pro Tour, which helped him secure a spot in the preliminary round of the 2016 World Championship. There, he faced Andy Boulton in a closely contested match that went to a deciding set. Although Laursen took an early lead, he missed four match darts, leading to a narrow 2–1 defeat, a moment that showcased both his talent and the challenges of high-stakes play.
In 2016, Laursen began the year strong by winning the first Scandinavian Pro Tour event and reaching the final of another tournament. He and his partner Daniel Jensen also made headlines by defeating Sweden 5–2 to advance to the second round of the World Cup, where Laursen bested Kyle Anderson 4–2, sending the match to a deciding doubles game, though Denmark ultimately lost 4–0. Through perseverance and skill, Laursen continues to make an impact in the world of darts.
