About

Peyton Roi List was born on April 6, 1998, in Florida, USA. Her career began at a young age, with early modeling gigs and commercial appearances. She secured her first major film role at eight years old in the 2008 romantic comedy “27 Dresses,” playing the younger version of the lead character. She continued to appear in films such as “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” “Something Borrowed,” and “Remember Me.” A significant turning point in her early career came with her casting as Emma Ross in Disney Channel’s “Jessie” in 2011, a role she continued for four seasons. This made her a recognizable face to a young audience and led to a spin-off series, “Bunk’d,” where she reprised her role for three seasons, concluding in 2018. During her time with Disney, she also gained experience in directing, helming an episode of “Bunk’d” in 2018.

Following her extensive work in children’s television, List transitioned to more mature roles. In 2019, she joined the cast of Netflix’s “Cobra Kai” as Tory Nichols, a character that grew into a central part of the series. This role showcased a different aspect of her acting and introduced her to a new demographic of viewers. The series is set to conclude in its final season. In 2021, she took on the lead role of Aileen Wuornos in the Voltage Pictures film “Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman.” She further expanded her career by taking on the lead role of Maddie Nears in the Paramount+ series “School Spirits,” which premiered in 2023. On this project, List also served as a producer, indicating her increased involvement behind the camera. “School Spirits” was renewed for a second season, and also had a successful run on Netflix, reaching its top 10 list shortly after launch.

Beyond acting, List has ventured into entrepreneurship. In 2022, she launched her own clean and sustainable beauty brand, Pley Beauty, which included a collaboration with her show “Cobra Kai.” She has also engaged in various brand partnerships, reflecting her growing influence. Her career trajectory shows a consistent progression from child actor to a multifaceted artist with roles as an actress, producer, and director, navigating different genres and platforms while maintaining a public presence. List continues to take on new projects, including “Girl Haunts Boy” (2024), “The Inheritance” (2024), and “Agonist” (2024).
