Pietro Fittipaldi

Pietro Fittipaldi is a Brazilian racing driver currently competing in the IndyCar Series for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing while serving as a reserve driver for Haas in Formula One. As the grandson of two-time Formula One World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi and the older brother of racing driver Enzo Fittipaldi, Pietro carries a rich legacy in motorsport that fuels his ambition on the track.

Fittipaldi began his racing career in karting before graduating to junior formulae in 2013. He quickly showcased his talent by winning the 2014 Protyre Formula Renault Championship with MGR Motorsport. His success continued in 2015-16 when he captured the MRF Challenge Formula 2000 Championship with MRF Racing, followed by a notable victory in the 2017 World Series Formula V8 3.5 with Lotus, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the racing world.

In 2019, Fittipaldi became a reserve driver for Haas F1 Team and made his Formula One debut at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, stepping in for an injured Romain Grosjean. This milestone made him the fourth member of the Fittipaldi family to compete in F1. He returned for another race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix later that season, further establishing his credentials.

Beyond Formula One, Fittipaldi has competed full-time in the IndyCar Series since 2024 and has participated in various championships, including the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, European Le Mans Series, and FIA World Endurance Championship.
