Princeton Perez rose to prominence as the first member selected for the acclaimed boy band Mindless Behavior in 2008, a group he would lead to multiple industry firsts and significant touring success. Prior to this breakthrough, Perez had established himself in entertainment through television commercials for major brands including Nike, McDonald’s, and Skechers. He also appeared in music videos, portraying a younger Travie McCoy in Gym Class Heroes’ ‘Shoot Down the Stars’ (2006) and a young Cupid in ‘Cupid’s Chokehold’ (2007), in addition to working as a backup dancer for Nicole Scherzinger. With Mindless Behavior, Perez embarked on major touring opportunities, supporting The Backstreet Boys, Jason Derulo, and Justin Bieber in 2010.
In 2017, Perez publicly announced Mindless Behavior’s disbandment, subsequently featuring in Taylor Bennett’s ‘The Kid’s Alright’ and appearing on the covers of 360 Magazine, Obvious Magazine, and Tinsley Magazine. Las Vegas declared a ‘Princeton Perez Day’ in 2017, and he hosted the Teen Summit panel at the BET Experience. Transitioning into his solo career, Perez released singles including ‘Perfect World’ (2019), ‘Chew It Up’ (2020), and ‘Suelo’ (2023), alongside the ‘Christmas in Malibu’ EP (2019). His solo single ‘Control’ received a music video release in 2020.
More recently, Perez appeared in Dia La Ren Nash’s music video ‘Dance To The Rhythm’ in 2023, continuing to evolve as a singer-songwriter, dancer, and actor across various platforms.
