Born on March 20, 1996, Puck Moonen began her journey in sports initially showing interest in football before transitioning to cycling at the age of 17. Her early athletic endeavors laid the foundation for a career that would see her compete at a high level in professional cycling. Moonen pursued a medical student path before dedicating herself fully to professional cycling.
Moonen quickly rose through the ranks, eventually riding for the Lotto-Soudal team in professional road cycling. During her time with Lotto-Soudal, she participated in prominent races such as La Course by Le Tour de France, the Tour of Flanders, Amstel Gold Race, La Flèche Wallonie, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, and Strade Bianche. A significant turning point in her career occurred in 2018 when she sustained a broken knee due to a crash, leading to long-term injuries. This experience prompted her to seek a different environment for her recovery and career progression, leading her to explore other cycling disciplines and eventually pave her own way.
Currently, Moonen continues to be an active presence in the cycling world, exploring various disciplines such as gravel and mountain biking. She achieved a 3rd place finish at the World Cup Gravel, which qualified her for her first World Championship in the discipline. Beyond her competitive endeavors, Moonen has established herself as a marketing and influencer figure, collaborating with several brands. She is known for her passion for business, cars, motorcycles, photography, and art. In 2023, she launched a cycling training collection in collaboration with Assos, further cementing her influence in the cycling apparel industry.
