About

Michael Zachary Myers, born on November 7, 1983, in Memphis, Tennessee, began his musical journey early, developing into an internationally touring blues artist by the age of 14. His early influences included guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimmy Page. Prior to his significant involvement with Shinedown, Myers co-founded The Fairwell, a rock band from Memphis, serving as its lead singer and guitarist. The band gained local recognition and opened for established acts such as 3 Doors Down and Hinder.

Myers’ career progressed notably when he joined Shinedown in 2005 as a touring rhythm guitarist. He temporarily filled the role of bassist in 2007 before officially becoming the permanent rhythm guitarist in early 2008. By December 2008, following the departure of Nick Perri, Myers assumed the dual role of rhythm and lead guitarist for the band. His contributions extend beyond Shinedown, including touring with Saliva in 2004 and 2005, and a reunion show with Brother Cane in 2011 as their lead guitarist. In 2022, he collaborated with Hanson on their song “Don’t Let Me Down” from the album “Red Green Blue.”

In addition to his musical endeavors, Myers established Cursed Management Group, an artist management company. His first venture into artist management was with the Memphis rock band Sore Eyes, which he discovered locally and provided opportunities to perform with Shinedown at the Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan in December 2008. His equipment collection includes over two hundred guitars, featuring models from PRS Guitars, Fender, Gibson, and Taylor Guitars. He maintains a long-standing partnership with PRS Guitars, having been associated with the company for two decades.
