Rebecca Cavalcanti first made her mark on the professional beach volleyball circuit in 2014, securing a bronze medal at an FIVB World Tour event in Parana, Argentina, alongside partner Liliane Maestrini. She quickly solidified her presence in the competitive professional circuit with another bronze medal, again with Maestrini, at a World Tour event in Fortaleza, Brazil, in 2016. These early successes established her as a formidable and consistent performer in top-tier international competition. In 2017, Cavalcanti formed a significant and highly successful partnership with Ana Patricia Silva Ramos.
These remarkable achievements propelled them to the very top of the provisional Olympic Rankings, leading to their formal selection by the Brazil Volleyball Federation (CBV) as one of the teams in contention for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Cavalcanti continued her impressive competitive play into 2020, showcasing her consistent form by winning another gold medal on the Brazil National Tour in João Pessoa with Ana Patricia, notably defeating the experienced duo Talita Antunes and Carolina Salgado. This sustained dedication and elite performance culminated in her representing Brazil at the highest level, competing at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo alongside Ana Patrícia Ramos, a testament to her status as a leading athlete on the international stage. Maintaining her position at the forefront of the sport, Rebecca Cavalcanti commenced a new partnership with fellow elite athlete Ágatha Bednarczuk in 2023.
This collaboration immediately saw significant success, securing a gold medal at the Chiang Mai World Tour event in 2023. Most recently, Cavalcanti earned a silver medal at the 2024 Guadalajara World Tour, underscoring her remarkable adaptability and enduring prowess. Her career is distinguished by a sustained level of top-tier performance, consistently achieving podium finishes in major international beach volleyball tournaments and demonstrating her bookability for high-stakes competition.
