Rebecca Mader is an accomplished English actress who became widely known to American audiences after appearing as anthropologist Charlotte Lewis in ABC’s hit survival drama series Lost and as the Wicked Witch of the West on the same network’s equally successful fantasy drama Once Upon a Time. In the latter she appeared in five seasons from 2014-2018, in a role for which she gained mass critical acclaim.
Her movie credits include minor roles in Hitch (2005) opposite Will Smith, The Devil Wears Prada (2006) with Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009) with George Clooney and Jeff Bridges and Marvel’s blockbuster superhero flick Iron Man 3 (2013) starring Robert Downey Jr. Mader has also accumulated an array of impressive television credits, including appearances in Guiding Light, Law & Order, Justice, Fringe, 30 Rock, Blue Bloods and Hawaii Five-0.
Starting out as a model in New York City after first making her journey across the pond, she was quickly called upon to star in a variety of adverts for the likes of L’Oreal and Colgate before landing roles in some of the biggest American soap operas of the noughties: All My Children, One Life to Live and Guiding Light. Years later – now that she has firmly established herself in Hollywood as a recognizable figure and adept actress – she hopes to secure further opportunities to share both the small and big screens with some of the biggest stars in the industry.
