Peruvian Reality star and model turned actress Angie Jibaja rose to prominence in 2002 after appearing on reality show La Casa de Gisela. She then went on to star in several other reality shows including Doble Tentación, Combate Perú and El Gran Show before finding success as an actress in films and television.
Born in Lima, Peru, Jibaja started modelling at a young age and appeared in several television commercials when she was still a child. Her career then advanced to fashion catwalks, including Canoe de Marte, Asia Fashion Weekend and Magic Fountain, and she was hired as the face of Kinkissimo and Topitop clothing brands. Jibaja got her biggest break in 2002 when she was hired as a model for the reality show La Casa de Gisela, and as a break-out star of the show she later landed co-hosting roles at Out of Focus and Hot Sport on Global Television.
Jibaja made her successful transition into acting in 2005 when she featured in the film Mañana te cuento, and the following year she made her Chilean cinema debut in Boris Quercia’s movie El Rey de los Huevones.
Her other notable acting roles include Úrsula in romantic comedy television series El Camionero broadcast by Televisión Nacional de Chile, and Silvia in the movie No es lo que Parece in 2018.
In between her numerous acting roles, Jibaja has continued to appear on reality TV shows mostly in Chile where she now lives. With over a million followers on Instagram, the eternally glamorous Jibaja continues to shine on television, film and social media.
