Rebekah Bruesehoff is a prominent LGBTQ+ rights activist and author, advocating for transgender youth and inclusion through her public speaking engagements and written work. After her powerful image at a Jersey City rally went viral in 2017, Rebekah Bruesehoff emerged as a prominent LGBTQ+ rights activist, advocating for transgender youth and inclusion. Her advocacy quickly garnered significant attention as she committed to using her platform to foster understanding and promote transgender rights through public speaking and engagement with major news outlets. In 2018, Bruesehoff delivered a historic address at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas, becoming the first transgender person to speak before the event’s 32,000 attendees.

In 2021, Bruesehoff co-authored ‘A Kids Book About Being Inclusive’ alongside activist Ashton Mota and GenderCool, further contributing to educational resources. She also formalized her partnership with The GenderCool Project, serving as a champion for their mission to evolve understanding and culture around transgender and non-binary youth. In 2022, she was invited to attend the Tory Burch Foundation’s Embrace Ambition Summit. In October 2023, Bruesehoff was named one of GLAAD’s ’20 Under 20,’ acknowledging her ongoing impact within the LGBTQ+ community.

The same year, she participated in a Human Rights Campaign video, lending her voice to advocate for transgender rights in sports.
