Richard Coyle

Richard Coyle is an acclaimed actor known for his versatile work across film, television, and stage, consistently delivering impactful performances in notable productions. After graduating from the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1998, Richard Coyle swiftly entered professional acting, securing his first on-screen line in Franco Zeffirelli’s film adaptation of ‘Jane Eyre’ before early television roles like ‘Episode #1.1’ (1998) and a cameo in ‘Human Traffic’ (1999). His career achieved significant recognition in 2000 with prominent roles as Jeff in the acclaimed BBC2 comedy ‘Coupling’ and as John Ridd in the BBC’s ‘Lorna Doone.’ Coyle’s portrayal of Jeff garnered widespread popularity, though he deliberately departed ‘Coupling’ after its third series in 2002 to pursue diverse roles. He also made his West End debut in ‘The York Realist’ in 2001.

Gardiner in ‘The Other Bennet Sister,’ currently filming, and Dr. Falk in ‘Kristallnacht,’ which is now in post-production. Coyle is also set to appear as Quincy Harrington in the highly anticipated film ‘Heads of State’ in 2025, continuing his trajectory of diverse and impactful roles across all major mediums.
