Joe Lo Truglio

Joe Lo Truglio is an American actor and comedian known for his roles in television series such as “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “The State,” and “Reno 911!”, as well as film appearances in “Wet Hot American Summer,” “Superbad,” and “Paul.” After co-founding the acclaimed sketch comedy group ‘The State’ during his time at NYU Film school, Joe Lo Truglio quickly established a distinctive presence in comedy, which led to a successful run on MTV with ‘The State’ through the 1990s. Following the group’s hiatus in 1996, Lo Truglio expanded his filmography around the millennium with notable independent film roles, including his appearance in David Wain’s cult classic Wet Hot American Summer (2001) and Tom McCarthy’s critically acclaimed The Station Agent. Demonstrating his versatility, he also lent his vocal talents to the video game industry, portraying Vincenzo ‘Lucky’ Cilli in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (2005) and contributing to The Warriors (2005). Lo Truglio transitioned seamlessly into prominent supporting roles within mainstream comedies, solidifying his reputation for comedic timing and memorable character portrayals.

In 2022, he directed the project Outpost, further highlighting his capabilities beyond performance.
