Best known for his work as a judge on Canada’s Drag Race, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman is an actor, model and television presenter.
Raised in Alberta in a predominantly white conservative community, Bowyer-Chapman moved to Vancouver as a teenager. He started to work and travel as a model, working with major brands including Levi’s and American Apparel and building a career as the face of campaigns and commercials. He has appeared in shoots around the world including Europe, Canada, the USA and South Africa and been named as one of Canada’s most influential young stars. As well as his flourishing modelling career, Bowyer-Chapman also started to appear on television and in films such as Noah’s Arc, The L Word and Stargate Universe. He has also starred in films such as The Break Up Artist, The Skinny and Dirty Grandpa, landing his biggest role to date in 2015 when he won a part in comedy drama series The Unreal. Over time Bowyer-Chapman has become a gay icon, coming out publicly in 2016 and speaking about the struggles of growing up as a gay biracial man in a Caucasian society. He was invited to be a permanent judge on Canada’s Drag Race in 2019, appearing on the inaugural series of the hugely popular show the following year.
Most recently, Bowyer-Chapman has continued to land parts in film and TV shows, including Falling Inn Love and Spiral, and has appeared as a guest judge on Ru Paul’s Drag Race. His popularity continues to grow and he is now known around the world as an entertainment star.
