Richard Horvitz established an impactful early career in live-action, starring in the TBS original TV series ‘Safe at Home’ in 1985. He further built his on-screen presence co-starring with Mark Harmon and Kirstie Alley in the Carl Reiner-directed film, ‘Summer School’ (1987). His live-action film credits also include ‘Deadly Weapon’ (1989), ‘How I Got into College’ (1989), Disney Channel’s ‘The Legend of Galgameth’ (1996), and ‘Race to Space’ (2001). Later, Horvitz appeared in ‘The Informant!’ (2009) with Matt Damon and ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love.’ (2011) with Steve Carell.
Demonstrating versatility beyond performance, Horvitz has also taken on roles as a producer and voice director. He served as executive producer for the films ‘Some Kind of Joke’ (2017) and ‘The Bug’ (2018). Leveraging his extensive voice acting expertise, he currently serves as a voice director for animated web series including ‘Helluva Boss’ (2019-present), where he also voices the character Moxxie, and the critically acclaimed ‘Hazbin Hotel’ (2024). His recent voice acting includes reprising Zim in ‘Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus’ (2019) and voicing Alpha 8 and Alpha 9 in ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always’ (2023).
