After achieving global success with Poison, he established Rockett Drum Works Inc. to specialize in custom drum kits, extending his influence within the music industry.

Richard Allan Ream, known professionally as Rikki Rockett, was born on August 8, 1961, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He is best recognized as the drummer for the American glam metal band Poison, which he co-founded in 1983. Under his percussive contributions, Poison achieved significant commercial success, selling over 50 million albums worldwide and 15 million records in the United States. Rockett’s professional journey with Poison led to numerous acclaimed albums including “Look What the Cat Dragged In” (1986), “Open Up and Say… Ahh!” (1988), and “Flesh & Blood” (1990).
Beyond his work with Poison, Rockett expanded his career into other creative and entrepreneurial endeavors. In late 1993, he was involved in a significant band change when Richie Kotzen was fired from Poison. In 1995, Rockett co-created and colored a six-issue comic book series titled “Sisters of Mercy.” He released his first solo album, “Glitter 4 Your Soul,” in 2003, a tribute to 1970s glam rock. In April 2007, he founded Rockett Drum Works Inc., a company dedicated to manufacturing custom drum kits, snare drums, and accessories, building on his long-standing experience and passion for drumming.
Rockett also diversified his musical output by co-forming the rock supergroup Devil City Angels in 2015, alongside members from L.A. Guns, Cinderella, and Cheap Thrill. This group released their self-titled debut album in September 2015. In his personal life, Rikki Rockett is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a vegan. In December 2015, he was diagnosed with oral cancer, which he successfully overcame after a clinical trial involving immunotherapy, a journey he has openly shared to raise awareness and support for cancer research.
