Robin Thomas

Born on February 12, 1949, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA, Robin Thomas Grossman initially pursued a career as a carpenter in New York, specializing in renovations of restaurants and apartments. His artistic inclinations also led him to create kinetic sculptures, which were exhibited at Tiffany & Co.’s Fifth Avenue windows in 1977 and 1978. Thomas later refined his acting skills, graduating with a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University, laying the foundation for a prolific acting career.

Thomas’s acting journey began in the early 1980s, marking his film debut in Edward Zwick’s 1986 film “About Last Night.” This was followed by appearances in notable films such as Carl Reiner’s “Summer School” (1987), “Bulworth” (1998), “The Contender” (2000), and “The Banger Sisters” (2002). His television career includes a prominent role as Mark Singleton on the soap opera “Another World” from 1983 to 1985 and as Geoffrey Wells on “Who’s the Boss?” He has also appeared in numerous TV series including “Murphy Brown,” “Matlock,” “Franklin & Bash,” “Castle,” “Blue Bloods,” and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” demonstrating his versatility across various genres. More recently, he was part of the “Mystery 101” series on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, playing Graham Winslow across multiple TV movies from 2019 to 2021.

Throughout his career, Thomas has also maintained a strong presence in theater, starring in productions like “Time Stands Still” alongside Anna Gunn, David Harbour, and Alicia Silverstone at The Geffen Theater in Los Angeles.
