Roger Penske is a widely recognized figure in American motorsport, transitioning from a successful racing driver to the owner of Team Penske, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and IndyCar, among other significant racing-related businesses. After being named SCCA Driver of the Year in 1961 and winning a NASCAR Pacific Coast Late Model race at Riverside in 1963, Roger Penske transitioned his focus from competitive driving, retiring in 1965 to dedicate himself to entrepreneurial ventures.
