About

Born on May 21, 1988, in Beverly Hills, California, Roxy Sowlaty began her career in design at a young age. At 16, she co-founded a clothing line named RoxTar with her younger sister, Tara. She pursued higher education at the University of Southern California (USC), where she earned an undergraduate degree from the Marshall School of Business. Following her graduation from USC, Sowlaty decided to redirect her creative interests from fashion to interior design. She furthered her education by enrolling in Parsons New School of Design, where she pursued a Master’s degree in Interior Design, deepening her expertise in the field.

During her time in New York City, while completing her Master’s degree, Sowlaty gained practical experience by working on various freelance residential projects. These projects included homes in Manhattan and an additional residence in Aspen, which solidified her interest in interior design. Upon returning to California, Sowlaty established her own interior design firm. This firm specializes in high-end residential projects, catering to a clientele seeking luxury and personalized design solutions. Concurrently, she has been involved in launching an online do-it-yourself interior design website and a home goods product line, indicating a focus on broader accessibility for her design aesthetic.

Sowlaty gained public recognition through her appearance on the reality television series “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills,” which aired from 2014 to 2016. The show followed her and a group of wealthy friends, documenting their lives and activities in Beverly Hills. In 2020, she married Nicolas Bijan Pakzad. Beyond her television work, Sowlaty has continued to focus on her interior design career, leveraging her broadcast exposure to further develop her brand and business ventures in the design industry.
