Ruben Dias

Ruben Dias is a highly acclaimed Portuguese professional footballer, renowned for his robust defensive capabilities and influential leadership on the field. After making his professional debut with Benfica B in the 2015–16 LigaPro season, Ruben Dias was promoted to the Benfica first team in 2017, where he quickly became a pivotal defender. During his tenure at Benfica, Dias was recognized with the Primeira Liga’s Young Player of the Year award in the 2017–18 season. He was instrumental in securing the Primeira Liga title for the team in 2018–19 and adding the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira in 2019.

Internationally, Dias has been a cornerstone of the Portugal national team since his senior debut in 2018. He played a vital role in Portugal’s UEFA Nations League victories in both 2019 and 2025, notably being named in the Team of the Tournament for 2019 and earning man of the match honors in the 2019 final.
