Ryan Chiaverini

Ryan Chiaverini is a television personality and sports anchor known for his engaging coverage of Chicago sports and his work as a talk show host. After joining ABC 7 Chicago in March 2006 as a sports reporter and fill-in anchor, Ryan Chiaverini quickly established himself as a prominent voice in Chicago sports broadcasting. He was rapidly promoted to sports anchor on ABC 7’s top-rated weekend newscasts and hosted the station’s pre-game coverage for the Chicago Bears, ‘THE CHICAGO HUDDLE’. Prior to his tenure in Chicago, Chiaverini began his professional career as a weekend sports anchor at KFBB in Great Falls, Montana, and KTVQ in Billings.

His commitment to philanthropy is evident through his musical endeavors, having released the song ‘Chicago’ in 2014 to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and ‘This Is Country’ in 2019, with proceeds supporting cancer research. Most recently, in November 2023, Chiaverini was appointed the lead sports anchor on ABC 7’s highly-rated newscasts airing at 5, 6, and 10 p.m., solidifying his integral position within the station’s sports coverage. He has also developed distinctive and popular segments such as the ‘2-Minute Warning’ and ‘Bear-ly Accurate Predictions’. Additionally, he shared in multiple Emmy wins for Special Event Coverage for ‘Countdown Chicago’ from 2020 to 2023, underscoring his consistent contributions to high-quality broadcast journalism and entertainment.
