The multi-talented Ryan Chiaverini is an award-winning TV personality, actor, and musician. He is best known as the co-host of ABC 7’s popular talk and entertainment show, Windy City Live.
A native of Corona in California, Chiaverini played American football at High School and was a “walk on” defensive back before earning a full athletic scholarship in 1998 to the University of Colorado Boulder. He played strong safety for the Buffalos, and after graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism, began working at KFBB in Montana as their weekend sports anchor. A year later he moved to KTVQ in a similar role, and then when he was 24 he landed a job as a sports reporter at KUSA in Denver. He spent four seasons covering the Denver Broncos and served as a fill-in host for the Mike Shanahan Show. In 2006 he moved to WLS-TV as a sports reporter and spent the next five years covering Chicago’s finest sports teams. In 2010 he was promoted to Weekend Sports anchor, and in 2011 he became co-host of the talk show Windy City Live.
Aside from his TV career, Chiaverini also indulges in music as a singer/guitarist. In 2014 he released his song Chicago on iTunes and YouTube, the proceeds of which go towards the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
