Ryan Pivirotto is an American short track speed skater and Olympian, bringing a background of competitive excellence and an understanding of perseverance to brand collaborations.
US Speedskating, in partnership with Toyota, announced the nomination of athletes, including Ryan Pivirotto, to represent Team USA in Short Track Speed. Toyota also partnered with US Speedskating to host a skating event with Kimi Goetz and Ryan Pivirotto at the Lakeshore Sports Centre.
Ryan Alexander Pivirotto was born on May 14, 1995, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He developed into a short track speed skater, becoming a consistent presence on the national and international circuits. Pivirotto was a member of the Short Track National Team from 2015 to 2022, demonstrating sustained dedication to his sport. His career progression saw him compete in numerous World Championship events, starting with the 2014 World Junior Championships where he placed 8th in the 3000m Relay.
His achievements include a bronze medal at the 2020 Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships in the 5000m Relay. Pivirotto made his Olympic debut at the Olympic Games Beijing 2022, competing in multiple events including the men’s 500m, 1000m, 1500m, and the mixed team relay. His top finish at the Olympics was 8th in the Mixed Team Relay. Prior to this, he was named to the roster for the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics, though he did not compete in any events at that time.
Throughout his career, Pivirotto has participated in multiple World Championships. In 2021, he achieved his top World Championship finish, placing 7th in the 1500m event, alongside 7th in the 5000m Relay, 11th in the 500m, and 14th in the 1000m. His consistent performance at an elite level underscores his commitment and experience as a professional athlete.
