Artour Babaev

Artour “Arteezy” Babaev is a highly accomplished Canadian professional Dota 2 player known for his exceptional skill as a carry, consistently ranking among the best globally. After a pivotal stand-in performance for Speed Gaming at MLG Columbus in November 2013, where he defeated elite mid-laners like Mushi and Dendi, Artour ‘Arteezy’ Babaev quickly established himself as a dominant force in professional Dota 2. His professional journey began in April 2013 with Team Kaipi, and after a brief hiatus for studies, he returned to competitive play in September 2013 with Team Take Five, where he secured a victory at the RaidCall EMS ONE Fall Americas tournament. Before his professional Dota 2 career, Babaev was a Masters league player in Starcraft II with the Protoss race.

His competitive achievements also include a third-place finish at The International 2018. Most recently, Artour Babaev joined Shopify Rebellion in December 2022. Following a 2024 season that saw the team fail to qualify for The International, he announced his decision to transition away from the active competitive roster to dedicate his efforts to streaming and content creation, officially departing Shopify Rebellion in April 2025. He has accumulated over $2.7 million in prize money throughout his career, and since 2014, Babaev has also maintained a significant and dedicated following as a prominent streamer on Twitch, solidifying his influence within the gaming community beyond competitive play.
