Safaree Samuels began his career in the music industry in the early 2000s, gaining recognition as a hype man for the hip hop group Hoodstars. The group, which featured Nicki Minaj, notably recorded the WWE Diva Victoria’s entrance song, ‘Don’t Mess With,’ for the 2004 compilation album ‘ThemeAddict: WWE The Music, Vol. 6’. Following the disbandment of Hoodstars, Samuels continued his role as a hype man for Nicki Minaj through 2014, and in 2012, he received ad-lib writing credits on three tracks from her album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’.
Concurrently, he continued to release music, including the mixtape ‘Real Yard Vibes’ in 2016 and ‘Fur Coat Vol. 1’ in 2017. In 2017, Samuels also competed in VH1’s reality series ‘Scared Famous’, and in February 2018, he was honored with a Blue & Bougie Impact Award for his cultural representation on VH1. Demonstrating a keen entrepreneurial spirit, Samuels launched his ‘Anaconda’ line of dildos in 2019, diversifying his brand beyond music and television.
His unique position within the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ franchise and ongoing content creation underscore his dynamic and marketable engagement with audiences across music, television, and digital media.
