The beautiful and talented Sara Cardona is a broadcast journalist and former beauty pageant contestant, best known for her work with the sports network ESPN as a sideline reporter. She is now a sports anchor with ABC 36 News.
Born and raised in Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia, Cardona attended the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 2012, where she became very active with the campus TV station. During her final year there she also competed in the Miss Greater Nashville pageant, and reached second runner up position, which led to her competing at the Miss Tennessee USA beauty pageant. After graduating she began to forge a career in sports journalism and started working with Nashville’s Fox 17/WZTV as a sportscaster and also frequently covered sports-related news. She then began working as a freelance sideline reporter for ESPN, and in 2017 was contracted to the network full-time. In 2021 she joined ABC 36 News as a sports anchor/reporter covering all things Kentucky Wildcats.
