Sarah Hester Ross is listed as an entertainer at MGM Resorts, performing as a Musical Comedian, Dueling and Solo piano player, and other live acts.
Born on October 7, 1985, in Tampa, Florida, Sarah Hester Ross began performing onstage at the age of three. She pursued vocal performance in college and developed proficiency in various instruments, including piano and keytar. Following her education, she moved to Orlando, Florida, engaging in both community theater and professional performances at Universal Studios. In 2010, her career faced a challenge when scar tissue formed on her vocal cords, leading to surgery and a period of recovery. After overcoming this setback, Ross transitioned into dueling piano performances, a path that ultimately led her to a national tour.
In 2013, Hester Ross secured the role of Jen in “The D* Word – A Musical,” a production by Jeanie Linders, the creator of “Menopause The Musical.” The show commenced in Florida and subsequently toured nationally, including an engagement at the Shimmer Cabaret in Las Vegas. Upon the tour’s conclusion, Ross decided to settle in Las Vegas. She continued her career as a dueling piano player in various piano bars and also performed with “Raiding the Rock Vault.” By 2019, she joined the team at Bar at Times Square at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino, where she maintains a regular performance schedule.
During the 2020 pandemic, Ross focused on expanding her online presence. A notable success from this period was the creation of “Florida Man Friday,” a comedic video series summarizing peculiar news stories found by searching “Florida Man” plus the current date. Due to its popularity, she expanded the series to include “Florida Woman Wednesday.” This online success led to a three-month residency at Notoriety Live in Las Vegas post-pandemic, followed by a US tour. Her comedy special, “Don’t Mess with a Redhead,” was released on April 23, 2024, combining material from her residency and tour. In August 2024, she presented her show “Sarah Hester Ross is What??” at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, featuring her comedic approach to social issues. Her musical catalog includes original songs like “Life Goes On” and “No Babies,” covers such as “Savage Daughter,” and parodies like “Piano Babe.” In 2023, she co-hosted the podcast “Too Much Find Less” with internet celebrity Deanna Giulietti.
