Sean Wright

Sean Wright began his musical journey at the age of two, starting with drums, and later expanded into production by age twelve. Raised in Miami within a family of musicians, his early exposure to diverse musical styles, particularly through playing in church with his father, shaped his eclectic approach to music. This foundation allowed him to develop into a well-rounded musician with proficiency in multiple genres.

In 2009, at seventeen, Wright moved from Miami to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, where he concentrated on refining his drumming and composition skills. During his time at Berklee, in 2011, he co-founded the live band “Nurdy Tunes” which gained recognition for performing live band covers on YouTube. This project helped establish his reputation for playing ability and musical direction, opening doors to professional collaborations.

Over his career, Wright has worked with notable artists such as Big Sean, Neyo, Musiq Soulchild, Big Bang, Jason Derulo, Taeyang (from Big Bang), and Bazzi. Beyond his work as a drummer, he has pursued his passion for music production, creating music for other artists and developing his own projects. He released his debut album, “Know Idea,” on January 6, 2020. His career path has involved overcoming challenges, including periods of being voluntarily homeless in Boston to pursue his education and being categorized by industry norms.
