Selina Freitag

Selina Freitag is a German ski jumper known for her consistent performances and her rapid ascent to a multi-medalist at World Championship events. After winning the overall ranking of the 2016–17 FIS Ski Jumping Alpen Cup, Selina Freitag established herself as a formidable talent in the sport. Her early competitive career saw her consistently excel across junior-level events, including the Alpencup, FIS Cup, and Continental Cup circuits, laying a strong foundation for future successes. Her burgeoning potential was further highlighted by her first Junior World Championships appearance in Kandersteg during the 2017/18 season, where she secured a commendable fourth-place finish with her team.

Maintaining her elite performance trajectory, Selina achieved strong results in the 2024/25 season, including multiple podium finishes at World Cup and Grand Prix events, notably securing two second-place finishes in Courchevel and additional second-place finishes in Lahti and Hinzenbach, alongside third-place finishes in Vikersund and Lake Placid. Her dominance continued at the 2025 Trondheim World Championships, where she earned two silver medals in the Individual Normal Hill and Individual Large Hill events, in addition to a bronze medal in the Team Normal Hill. Beyond her athletic commitments, Selina also works as a custom officer, demonstrating her dedication to professional pursuits outside of competitive ski jumping.
